The concept: Made for Gatherings

Some houses are clearly built for gatherings, and Villa Dorothea is one of them. On the northeast coast of Paros, within walking distance of the Santa Maria beach, it brings together a main villa, a guesthouse, gardens, and vineyards into a private estate. Seven bedrooms sleep up to fourteen guests, yet the property never feels overfilled, thanks to the way the rooms are stacked and spread out. It appeals to guests who like whitewashed Cycladic lines, sea views, and the sense of being slightly removed, but never far, from the island’s movement.

Outdoors

Outside, the infinity pool is the obvious focal point, set on a terrace with loungers in easy conversation distance and a shaded seating corner where most of the day’s decisions are made. Just beyond, the charcoal BBQ and dining area mark the shift into the evening. Children gather around the playground, while more active guests drift to the beach volley court or the ping pong table. The garden and vines soften the property’s edges, reminding you that you are on an island where outdoor life still matters more than interior perfection.

Indoors

Behind the doors, Dorothea holds the “house” moments. The main villa brings together a kitchen, dining corner, and living room that open to the terrace, with 4 bedrooms spread over three levels, including a master suite above and a quieter room near the library and playroom below. The guesthouse adds its own kitchen, living space, and three poolside bedrooms, so another branch of the family or a group of friends can have a base that feels slightly separate.

Good to know

The villa’s location above Santa Maria means you can switch easily between staying in, walking to the beach, or heading to Naoussa for a livelier evening. Kolymbithres and the rest of the north coast are within comfortable driving distance, as are Parikia and the port when it is time to arrive or leave. During the low season, you can also book only the main villa, with its four bedrooms, and still enjoy full use of Dorothea’s shared spaces, with the guesthouse bedrooms simply kept closed.
