About us

BlueVillas | The Luxury Concept

A distinguished Greek hospitality company specializing in luxury villa management and personalized on-site operations.

Our journey began in 2011 when Christos Gkekas, inspired by a vacation in Mykonos, envisioned a villa collection that captures the essence of Greece's three blues: the serene cerulean of a pool, the deep blue of the sea, and the vast sky blue.

Starting with just 12 villas, we've since grown to manage more than 500 meticulously selected luxury properties across 20+ Greek destinations, including Mykonos, Santorini, Paros, Antiparos, and Crete. Each villa in our collection exemplifies our commitment to the three blues, featuring private pools, stunning sea views, and unobstructed sky vistas. Properties that don't meet those standards, simply don't make the cut.

Our dedication to excellence has established BlueVillas as a leading agency in the luxury travel industry. We have developed a sophisticated quality verification program that categorizes our villas into three distinct levels: the Prime collection, comparable to 4-star properties; the Signature collection, our flagship, featuring 5-star standards; and our recent Signature Oasis collection, a handpicked selection of no more than 40 ultra-luxury villas across Greece.

Each villa level is complemented by exclusive BlueVillas amenities. From personal dedicated concierge and butler services to seamless transfers and a warm welcome with champagne and local delicacies, we ensure our guests receive the utmost care and attention. Our exceptional villa collection and services have garnered international recognition, earning us nine World Luxury Hotel Awards for Best Luxury Serviced Villas from 2016 to 2025, and two Regional Winner titles.

In our partnerships, we maintain the same selective approach, collaborating exclusively with those who share our passion for excellence. By partnering with globally renowned travel agencies, designers, and networks, we elevate our guests' experiences to new heights. Proudly affiliated with the Serandipians and J. MAK Hospitality networks, we guarantee genuine luxury, personalized planning, and the finest properties in Greece.

At BlueVillas, we believe a great property is just the beginning of a remarkable journey. Kick off your shoes, unwind, and trust us with the rest!

Christos Gkekas

CEO & Founder

Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Christos Gkekas holds a diploma in Mechanical Engineering. However, from an early age, Christos dedicated his summers to working in the family hotel in Northern Greece. After some years of gaining valuable experience in 5-star luxury hotels on Mykonos and later as a sales executive in luxury travel agencies, Christos came up with the idea of BlueVillas. Knowing he had to put his knowledge and expertise to full use, in 2011 BlueVillas was born! Initially, the company started with only 12 villas in Santorini. The next year saw 8 more added in Santorini and 10 in Mykonos. Although BlueVillas first started offering only accommodation, soon Christos’ passion and drive for excellence led him to understand that bespoke and personal service is vitally important in the luxury hospitality industry. Thus, the development of a dedicated, well-trained, and on-site BlueVillas concierge team on each island was successfully established.

Christos has seen the company undergo many changes as it grows, but his dedication and professionalism in the luxury travel industry remains a constant, his bright out-going personality and his authenticity, means BlueVillas is firmly on the map and going places!

Having just a few minutes to gain their trust over the phone or having to ask the right questions through an email is a challenge I always accept. It’s worth it to see their expression when they walk into the villa that I helped them pick out: smiles all around!”
