Villa Octavia is set high above the coast near Plaka, Crete, where the view opens wide across the sea to Spinalonga islet and the pace slows almost immediately. Hosting up to twelve guests in six ensuite bedrooms, the villa combines generous shared spaces with a layout that gives everyone room to spread out. The main house unfolds across 3 levels, while an extra guest room on the ground floor adds a quieter corner for anyone who values a little more separation. The overall feel is understated, with a calm confidence that comes naturally in a setting like this.

Outdoors

The outdoor spaces are arranged around the horizon. An infinity heated pool stretches toward the view, drawing the eye outward and setting the tone for long, unhurried days in the sun. Loungers and umbrellas sit just beyond, while the shaded dining and lounge areas make it easy to move from breakfast to lunch to evening drinks without ever really leaving the terrace. A gas barbecue and outdoor shower keep the setup practical, and the surrounding landscape adds just enough atmosphere without disturbing the calm.

Indoors

Indoors, the villa stays true to its setting with a calm, uncluttered style. Pale walls, dark-framed openings, and wood details keep the interiors polished but easy to live in. The living area, kitchen, and dining room flow as one sea-facing space, designed for group life without feeling crowded. In the main villa, the five bedrooms are spread across two sleeping levels, while the independent guest room on the ground floor adds flexibility for couples, older guests, or anyone who prefers a little more privacy.

Good to know

The villa’s hillside position gives it a more private feel, while still keeping the coast and nearby villages within comfortable reach by car. Plaka is well placed for beach time and local tavernas, and Elounda offers an easy option for a more polished seaside outing. Agios Nikolaos works well for a half-day trip when you want to explore a little more of the area. Private parking is available for up to two cars, and the house suits guests who value a quieter, view-led stay over being in the middle of things.
