The concept: Opening to the Sea

Villa Blackthorn sits where the Messinian landscape opens toward the sea. Near Methoni, on the Peloponnese coast, it rests bright and white above olive groves, open hills, and distant blue views. Designed on one level, the villa feels calm, private, and easy to live in, with four ensuite queen bedrooms for up to eight guests plus a bunk room for two children. Outdoors

The exterior feels deliberately quiet, letting the setting do most of the work. The infinity pool stretches along the terrace, with sun loungers, an outdoor shower, and open views across the surrounding hills and sea. A shaded pergola covers the outdoor dining area, giving guests a place for breakfast, BBQ dinners, and long pauses out of the sun. The garden and broad plot create a sense of breathing space, while the villa’s low white architecture sits calmly within the landscape.

Indoors

Indoors, the open-plan living area, dining space, and fully equipped kitchen are arranged to connect naturally with the pool and sea view. Each of the four queen bedrooms has an ensuite bathroom and opens onto the terrace, giving guests privacy and direct outdoor access. The children’s bunk room, connected to one of the bedrooms, adds flexibility for families, while the minimalist design, pale tones, timber details, and large windows keep the atmosphere bright and understated.

Lambes Beach is close by for swims, while Finikounda and Methoni are a short drive away for tavernas and everyday holiday needs.
