The concept: Written into the Hill

At Myrsine, the first luxury is not marble or shine, but clean air and stillness. The villa is built high above Kardamyli with the sea spread ahead, the olive grove around it, and Mani’s rough beauty rising behind. Designed as a series of cave houses, it blends local stonework with modern lines and a calm Japandi interior. Four ensuite bedrooms sleep up to eight guests across the main house and three guest rooms, all opening outdoors, giving the sense of a private hillside retreat.

Outdoors

The pool terrace has the silence of a lookout point. A long infinity pool reflects the sky, loungers sit close to the water, and the dining and lounge areas invite proper outdoor meals as well as quick breaks from the sun. The charcoal BBQ, garden, outdoor showers, and wide terraces make the exterior practical, but the real pleasure is the setting itself. Olive trees, planted roofs, herbs, stone paths, and the slope of the land all work together to give the rare luxury of peace.

Indoors

In the main house, glass walls frame the sea from the living room, where a sunken lounge, fireplace, dining area, and fully equipped kitchen create an elegant shared space. The main bedroom adds warmth with a king-size bed, fireplace, ensuite bathroom, and terrace access, while the three guest rooms each feature a queen-size bed, private bathroom, kitchenette, and outdoor connection. The lower level brings a more playful note, with a bar, TV, pool table, gym equipment, and space for games or workouts.

Mani is not a polished postcard destination, and that is part of its charm. Around Kardamyli, the landscape shifts between mountain, olive grove, stone village, and deep blue coast, giving each outing a different texture. From Myrsine, it is easy to build days around swimming, walking, eating in the village, or driving deeper into the region. Private parking makes exploring simple for guests renting a car, while the area is also rich in hiking trails, gorges and coastal caves.
