The concept: The quiet you came for

Aranya takes its name from the forest and its mood from the sea. Perched above Perigiali, the estate was designed by Giovanni Bellegamba to fold Balinese spirit into Ionian views, with hand-made elements, water features, and rooms that open easily to the outdoors. Ten carefully curated bedrooms host up to twenty guests across a master villa, four guest villas, and a main communal house. With its fully equipped shala, Aranya makes a perfect base for yoga retreats.

Outdoors

The grounds invite a softer tempo. The lagoon-style infinity pool pulls everyone to the edge of the view. On the other hand, the plunge pool at the master villa gives a quieter corner. Terraces are generous yet gentle, with shaded corners when the sun is bold, lounge and dining spaces for company to linger, and a gas BBQ that turns cooking into a shared ritual. Lush gardens soften every angle, and a ping-pong table keeps friendly rivalries going between swims and naps.

Indoors

Inside, spaces are intuitive. The main house sets the tone with a sea-facing living area, a cook-friendly kitchen, a dining room that fits up to twelve guests, and a TV room for movie nights. The master villa’s private plunge pool suits early risers; guest villas each offer two suites with dressing rooms and shared sitting areas, all with sea views, and all en-suite. Nothing is fussy, everything is comfortable, and the layout respects the quiet you came for.

Good to Know

Purpose-built for practice, the villa is ideal for hosting yoga retreats. Housekeeping is discreet, the property is gated, and a backup generator keeps everything steady. The dedicated shala—around 80 sqm and fully outfitted—can be enclosed and warmed, turning yoga practice into a promise rather than a plan. When the day asks for an outing, Nydri’s beach is minutes away, the waterfalls are close enough for an easy detour, and Lefkada Town is comfortably within reach.
