Not far from the cosmopolitan town of Agios Nikolaos and just a short stroll away from Ammoudara Beach, days here can easily slip from sun-kissed swims to evenings by the fire as the sea breeze whispers through open windows. Ideal for families and groups of friends, this is where everyone—no matter their age—finds space to unwind, play, and feel the rhythm of Cretan life.
Outdoors
Step outside Icarus, and the island unfolds at your feet. Two private, heated saltwater pools reflect the shimmering Mediterranean light, inviting you to dive into their gentle waters. Thoughtfully arranged seating or dining areas, and ample private parking blend convenience with relaxation, making it a space that feels both indulgent and intimate. From here, you can take in the stunning views of Mirabello Bay, and let even a quiet afternoon by the pool feel infinite.
Indoors
Icarus is a calming retreat. Tastefully decorated in cool neutral tones, the indoor space feels open and airy, with modern furnishings that allow the surrounding beauty to take center stage. The fully equipped kitchens, of which there are two, provide everything you need for relaxed home cooking or grand feasts shared with loved ones. Fireplaces in the communal areas add a cozy touch on cooler nights, while the sea views from the upper balconies transform every sunset into a private spectacle.
Good to know
Despite the peace that Icarus offers, its location makes it easy to explore nearby gems like the beaches of Ammoudara and Almyros or take a short trip to the charming streets of Agios Nikolaos, one of Crete’s main regions. The villa provides everything you need for a carefree stay, including baby equipment upon request for families traveling with children. And for those evenings when you’d like a bit of adult time, our concierge team is ready to arrange a babysitter so you can savor the local nightlife or a romantic seaside dinner.
