Dimitra Luxury Villas in Santorini
The Concept: View for 4
Dimitra is one of 7 luxury villas, all with private pools and sun terraces on the cliffside of Megalochori, Santorini. This area of natural beauty has unspoilt countryside and panoramic caldera views. The villas are built right on the cliff edge directly in front of the volcano and blend harmonious into the landscape.
Dimitra is a split level 2-bedroom caldera villa, with the most impressive volcano views. As you enter your villa from the pathway, you come into the villa terrace and the wow factor happens. The wooden pool decking and the large private pool extends out to the glass panel front and the Santorini volcano is framed like a picture. There is a dining area for alfresco eating, and sun loungers and sunshades complete your relaxing volcano view pool terrace.
The villa is designed in the Cycladic style of curved arches and smooth white walls, and the furnishings and interiors are modern classical style pieces. There is a fully equipped kitchen and comfortable bright living area, the bedroom on this level has an en-suite jacuzzi bathtub bathroom. There is staircase in the living room to the upper bedroom, which has a private balcony over the pool terrace and en-suite shower bathroom.
Take a walk-in the 17th century Megalochori village, it was home to rich vineyard owners and their large houses and wine canavas, and legend says to pirates’ hideaways. The village has remined quiet and picturesque, all the building renovations have retained their original design.

The village nearby is a short walk and very pretty - worth the stroll. We also walked along the coastline and this also has some beautiful views.
Breakfast is delicious (and so generous we didn't need lunch for a long while!!), and we ordered room service one night - again there were 3 content diners at the table
You are away from the main hustle-and-bustle of Fira and Oia so it is very relaxing. We mainly used the buses to get around, though they are not regular so check the timetables carefully. A few time we found it easier to order a taxi. Having your own car would make this a breeze!"
