Daydream Luxury Villas in Crete
The smallest of the eight villas forming an estate set on the hills of Agios Giorgos village, near the town of Kissamos in north-western Crete, the villa Daydream is also the most private. Built lower down on the hillside than the others, it still affords spectacular views of the Gramvousa Peninsula and Kissamos Bay. Early risers will appreciate its north-east façade which affords a spectacular sunrise!
Set in a rural landscape surrounded by olive groves, yet with easy access to the national road, it’s the perfect base for three or four people – a convenient location, yet far away from crowds. A short walk away is a bakery and a small convenience store, with a large supermarket, bars and restaurants in the town of Kissamos, which is only a five-minute drive away.
The house itself is truly gorgeous! Fully-equipped with all the modern conveniences, it has been crafted with natural eco-friendly materials along minimalist lines. Its small and compact design includes an open-plan living room and kitchen area with breakfast bar, and a double bedroom with a walk-in spa shower area. The master bedroom upstairs has its own private terrace with a view that will energize you!
Of course, the part of the house that will remain in your memory for years to come is the stunningly beautiful pool terrace, where you’ll probably enjoy many meals, cocktails and barbeques. The specially-designed pergolas provide shade while letting the sun filter through in the daytime, strategically covering part of the infinity pool and the seating area. And at night, your canopy will be a starlit sky!

We had a great holiday last year in Patmos in a similar but more rustic set up and enjoyed the balance.
I think the Villas is a winning combination. We got everything we wanted and more.
I travelled with my husband by BA from London to Chania (50 mins away by car)and we took the smallest villa (two bed) as it was all we needed ONEIRO. The complex is set on a hillside and very cleverly designed and landscaped so that you feel like you are the only people there. The website is misleading (shows a rather uncultivated site)as the photos were taken a while ago. The vegetation is lush and the gardens are full of lemon, lavender, cow parsley and rosemary.
We were looking out over very green olive groves with the odd poly tunnel. Hills beyond and the sea and port swinging around to more hills and mountains above which we would watch buzzards lazily shopping and diving every day. Some sort of Martin dipped and dropped into our pool all day.
I won’t repeat the other reviews but would say that there was just the right balance of support, information and cleaning needed. All v pleasant and appreciated. If you want meals delivered now they can do that and the chef can cook in your villa if you prefers for a fee. We didn’t do this as minimum order is 40 euros and our meal for two wasn’t going to hit that total!
When I go back I’ll rent a larger villa as I found the kitchen quite constricting and the bathroom in the upstairs bedroom was very tight! We used the downstairs shower room and loo in addition to the bathroom behind our bed. There wasn’t an empty cupboard to put our food so I felt a bit messier than I’d like to be.
Very nice supermarket about three mins away in Kissamos with everything you would want although the Monday was far better stocked than the Thursday before with fresh fruit and veg. Loved the fresh jalapeño in particular!
The local sandy beach is great and there were lots of fish in the water. Have to admit we liked spending time at the villa so when we cam back from the archaeological museum (Kissamos ) or the ancient inland harbour (Phalasarna)
It’s a very comfortable place to stay and there are plenty of places to visit or else its a very nice place to just chill and be lazy. Highly recommended!!
The only detail I’d pass back would be something v vvvvminor...on the driving instructions give NO info of where to go when you enter the property. There is no signage and no obvious reception and no one was around so we had to call. Not a big deal in the scheme of things."
