Mykonos is an island whose natural setting with the wonderful beaches, the vivid nightlife and the extraordinary Cycladic architecture can constitute the ideal cinema set. So if you are a cinema lover, grab your seat and find out which films were shot in Mykonos!

Shirley Valentine (1989)

shirley valentine

Frustrated housewife Shirley finds romantic adventure -and her own soul- on the island of Mykonos. The "Shirley Valentine" beach is Ai Giannis. It’s tacky, it’s comforting, it’s heart-warming, it’s a great movie option for winter nights in.

Bourne Identity (2002)

Only a part of this blockbuster is shot in Greece, but those few magical movie moments were enough to capture the audience’s attention that kept writing to movie-buff websites to find out the exact location in order for them to plan an escape there. Wonder no more, it was Mykonos!

The Kings of Mykonos (2010)

Greek-Australian Steve 'The Wog Boy' Karamitsis inherits a beach on the island of Mykonos from an uncle he's never met. When he and his pal fly over in order to sell the property, Steve discovers that the island’s culture, bureaucracy and the locals are giving him a hard time. However, amidst the hardships and hilarity, he also finds love.

Just keep in mind that nothing compares to experiencing it all through your own eyes and we have just the ideal setting: a luxury Blue villa!
