You will fall for Santorini. That’s common knowledge! Everyone returns thrilled form this magic island. But no one could give more reliable advice than the Blue team. Since we know the island better than the back of our hand, we can help the first timers!

Let’s spend all day at the beach!
With black-ash sands and crystal clear blue waters, the long gorgeous beach of Kamari is one of the most popular on the island. Easily accessible and well- organized, Kamari beach offers various types of water sports.  Perivolos beach is distinguished for its azure blue waters and tranquil atmosphere. Here, you can work on your tan for many hours and then have a drink at the bar. And if you get tired of lounging around, the beach offers a wide variety of water sports facilities, like windsurfing, scuba diving and jet skiing.
Vlyhada beach is most noted for its volcano white rock formations. It is ideal for those who want to avoid the crowd listen to relaxing music from the bar. Katharos Beach is the closest beach to Oia- only 2 minutes by car or 15-minute walk. If you’re feeling a lazy day and just want to relax in the sun – and the sand, since there are no beds and umbrellas- this beach is the one to go to. Perissa beach carries black sand, crystal clear waters, and great sports facilities.  However, it is most unique for its protection from the strong summer winds, as well as, the stunning view of the enormous rock called Mesa Vouno.

It’s never too early for a drink!
#closetothebeach: We could give a cocktail award to Ethnic bar in Kamari beach, if it was up to us! Try it! Theros Wave bar is also amazing for a relaxing evening with the perfect view of the azure sea. You were swimming in Perivolos beach and want to a refreshing drink?  For a lounge experience, go to Anemos Lounge Bar for sushi and your favorite cocktail! For loud music and dancing, you should not miss Chili Bar and Jojo beach bar. If you are lucky, you may experience a special night with live music. Party on.
#firabars: The Casablanca Soul Bar is the hot spot for nightlife in Santorini. An in-house DJ plays real funk, while you have your daiquiri. Crystal is a classy lounge cafe-bar built offering a stunning sea view.  With a mix of exotic cocktails and music, you will have a cool evening away from crowds.  One of the “must- see” places when you visit Santorini is Franco’s bar. Why? It serves champagne, a variety of wines and cocktails and it plays classical music exclusively. Make sure you arrive early to get a good “front row” seat on the veranda! The V Lounge offers spectacular views to the whitewashed buildings of Fira town, the caldera and the renowned Sunset. Enjoy the dramatic landscape while tasting a wide range of champagne cocktails.
#clubbingtime: Tango bar is your best option for a taste of Santorini nightlife, combining the most spectacular views with mouth-watering cocktails and upbeat music. Between the excellent service, the hip and chic crowd and the almost magical atmosphere of the surroundings, there’s a good chance you’ll never want to leave. Nightlife in Santorini ends at Enigma Club, which is conveniently situated just a few steps away from the main Fira square. Its music repertoire is a mix of house and dance beats with pop anthem mixes and the occasional hip-hop track to keep the mood flowing and the ladies dancing on the bars. The club is considered a top singles hot-spot, so prepare to flirt and mingle. Located on the edge of Fira, Koo club offers a fun and energetic night of dancing. However, if you want a more quiet or romantic night, or merely need to take a breath between songs, Koo has a spacious outside patio with three bars under the stars.
#LGBTQI: While enjoying the tranquility of the Exo Gialos beach in Fira, you can order a fresh coffee or an innovative cocktail from the beach bar restaurant Aegialos. Try the cocktail with katsouni (the Santorinian cucumber). It's very refreshing on a hot summer day! Tropical bar in Fira is considered the most gay-friendly bar in Santorini, being the night gay hotspot of the island. It is small but classy, offering a fabulous view of the caldera. Frozen cocktails, rock music, and friendly people fill the room, making it a Santorini favorite.  The Town Club is a favorite for those who want to drink and dance the night away. During the summer months, the club stays open until the late hours, while Guest DJs make their appearances.  Attracting an international crowd, Wet Stories is a place with great music, beach volleyball, tasty cocktails, and a relaxing atmosphere. It's situated on Perivolos beach, so people can take a dip in the sea, then go lay on the comfy lounge chairs while sipping on cocktails.

Culture secrets of the island
#everybodylovesasecret: Santorini has some cultural corners that will spice up your holidays with culture, but you will definitely not get bored!  Visit the Santo wines winery and museum on the top of the caldera and you won’t regret it! Browse the shop for gifts and traditional Santorinian products and the museum to learn the history of grape growing and wine making on the island.  There are many tables outside and indoors, you can order mezze or a selection of wine tasters and it has very reasonable prices. Santorini Arts factory is a non-profit organization on Santorini on the beautiful beach of Vlyhada. It is a museum and a place for cultural events that promote Greek cultural heritage. There are daily activities for kids and in the evenings, you can enjoy a play or live music under the stars. The small but wonderful archaeological museum of Fira holds the artifacts from excavations around the island during the years. The artifacts show the rich and varied history of the island and all its different eras and occupants. It is not as big as the Museum of Prehistoric Thera, but they are both definitely worth a visit.
